Touhou Fanart: Does She Even Know?

Description

Been getting into Touhou Project lately, and tried drawing Yukari Yakumo...

And here's a lil' short story for the picture, because sometimes I do that~

"Huff... huff... ... made it..."

I didn't think I'd have to run to get here on time, but that's what traffic accidents do. They don't care where you have to go, or if you're in a hurry.
... Well, whatever.
At least I made it. Can't thank my buddy enough for dropping me off. Hopefully traffic clears up on his way back.
After showing my ticket to the man at the door, I finally take a sigh of relief and head inside. This is my first time taking a train somewhere. Didn't bring much, just a duffel bag in one hand and my sketchbook in the other.

I guess nobody uses trains that often; there's nobody here...
... Well, there is one other person.

Sitting on the side to my left, there's a lady in a flowing purple dress, with a... rather... unusual hat nestled atop her long, blond hair. In her lap was what appeared to be a parasol (given her light complexion, she'd probably need it or risk some serious sunburn), and her face was obscured by a book she had lost herself in.
Now, I don't know why, but something about this woman immediately piqued my interest. Maybe it was her attire. It definitely isn't something you see often nowadays. Maybe it's just the fact that she was the only one on the train besides me...
... Well, whatever.
All I know is that this train ride is to take at least 2 hours. And with this sketchbook with me... I think I know how I'll pass the time.
I sit down across from the subject of my next drawing, on the opposite side of the train car. As I throw my duffel bag onto the seat next to me, I open up my sketchbook to a blank page. After brandishing my erasable colored pencil, I slooooowly looked up at the woman in front of me...

"... Perfect."

I whispered to myself as she lowered her book just a little, and I could finally see her face. Her eyes, still lost in whatever story she's reading, hasn't even acknowledged my existence, let alone the fact that I'm about to immortalize her in my sketchbook...
... Immortalize? Did I just say that? Man, that sounded arrogant! I'm not even that good... I'm no professional, just a graduate...
... Well, whatever.
At least 25 minutes passed since my pencil hit the paper... ...
Only after the initial sketch was done, which took about ten minutes, did the train even leave the station. I can't believe this woman and I are really the only ones on this train! I'm pretty sure this is a one-way trip; no stops. Where IS everybody?
... Well, whatever. It meant there were no distractions for me, or my oblivious model, who I'm absolutely impressed by. She hasn't moved from that spot since I got on the train. Hell, now that I think about it, I haven't even heard a single page turn from that book...
... Well, whatever.
At the 30 minute mark, I put down my pencil, and finally take a look at what I've accomplished. It's... actually not bad. I'm honestly not mad at this attempt. Especially since I haven't drawn in a few weeks. It's not often I do this, but I decided to actually give myself a little congratulatory...

"Mm-Hmm..."

"...Finally finished? Mind if I see it?"

"...!"

What.
My eyes jolted up from my drawing, and OOOOH CRAP. This woman is looking straight at me, smiling like she knew exactly what I was doing from the start. I don't know why, but I took a quick peek to the left and right of me, just to see if I was wrong, if somebody else is indeed on the train. But as I look back at her, her smile just widens as if to say, "Yes, I'm speaking to you."

... Well, damn. This is awkward...
